"Doing Business in a Down Market"
Description: The workshop will focus on how to create new opportunities in existing and new businesses ventures during periods of economic downturn. Discussion will include the importance of a business plan for internal direction and control as well as how to redirect the marketing and sales effort to meet the change in customer base and spending habits resulting from the downturn. Other key areas to be addressed will include the restructuring of expense levels, cash flows and capital outlays and their financing necessary to succeed in a depressed spending period. Attendees are encouraged to bring a challenge they are facing in connection with their existing business or start up which will be the focus of individual group sessions to follow the speaker presentation. . The presenter for this workshop is Thomas McMann, Managing Director of The Glenroe Group LLC, a leading consulting firm specializing in providing operating and financing solutions to challenged companies.

"How to Start a New Business the Right Way"
Description: The workshop will include entrepreneurial self evaluation, business plan preparation basics, registration and licensing procedures and legal and financing options. The presenter will be Joe Wasilewski, a CPA specializing in small business management and financial planning who will offer practical advice and insights.
