"How to Prepare a Successful Financial Plan"
Description: This will be the second of a series of hands on workshops related to business plan preparation. This workshop will focus on the development of a financial plan both for the purpose of internal control and for obtaining external financing. Participants will come prepared with some basic data that they can use during the workshop to learn how to prepare an Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow projection. The session will begin with an overview of underlying assumptions that will help to support the hands on aspect of the workshop. The seminar will be led by Joe Wasilewski, a CPA who specializes in dealing with small business owners and the buying or selling of existing businesses. He will be supported by other counselors from the SCORE Monmouth Chapter who are successful entrepreneurs and/or skilled in the preparation and evaluation of business plans.
